'We have been bringing our boxer Gromit to Galway Kennels for the last 8 years and every time he gets excited like a little pup the moment he sees the car covers and food bucket coming out, he knows it's his time for fun!
He is always welcomed like a good friend with plenty of rubs and cuddles, so we never worry he is not getting enough love while we're away.

I have been using these kennels a decade now. Yes a decade, and the only way my dogs and cats would stop going to Brian and Alwyn is if they shut down. My animals are my babies. So, when choosing Galway kennels, it had to be the "best". On my very first drop off, I even back a few hours later, because my howling banshee of a dog had me so worried when I first left. That devil of a dog who had me in bits when I left because she was howling for me, was now strolling around the place after the owners like she owned the place. Was she pinning for me? I think not, and I had the proof when I went back. I never worried about her/them ever again. As I added to my 4 legged family, they all had their first stay at Galway Kennels, and everyone of them was so happy to be there. The kennels are so comfortable. There is heated lamps in some of the kennels and they all have their bedding and beds in each kennel. Down the end of the kennel is the "lounging" area where there is a stove, couches, chairs and even little chairs for the little legs to get up on......

I have used them several times now but here's a brief word on my first visit.
When I arrived and ejected my two excitable jack russells from the car, they were greeted with such a friendly (and nearly equally excited) welcome from the kennel hand that I instantly relaxed.
Stepping into the kennels, it was very quiet as all the dogs were outside in various fenced areas. There was an elderly retriever snoring next to the stove, with lyric fm on in the background. It was about 11am when I arrived and the whole place was spotless. My two eejits had a good hunt around inside, jumping on the sofas, before being shown their double kennel which was ample space for them. I could see it would also be grand for a couple or more larger dogs too. The whole experience was very relaxed. All my anxieties about leaving them for a couple of weeks were put away when the kennel hand brought in another excitable border terrier for my two to meet - well she couldn't have picked a better match! The three of them, after much sniffing and tail wagging, raced up and down the kennels several times, to the sound of laughter.
I went away smiling to myself and thought, they're probably going to have more fun than I am !
It is a wonderful place and its all down to the owners, the welfare of animals is at the heart of what they do. If ever I have a problem with my dogs , Brian has such a knowledge of all things dog, if he doesn't know the answer he will be able to direct me to someone who does! If you need a kennels in and around Galway, you couldn't do better than Galway Kennels!
'Galway Kennels are like a second home to Molly. She has come to know the owners very well. Her transitions from home to kennels to home again go smoothly each time she visits and she is always happy to go there. We leave her at Galway Kennels with complete peace of mind knowing she is very well cared for.' - Lynn & Bartley Vesey

'Harry had stayed at another kennels where he was in his kennel most of the day. We were delighted with your Galway Kennels due to the fact that he could spend his time outdoors in the arenas. He loves it there too !' - Fiona Gardiner
